training, students will participate in daily soccer-related workshops
and Spanish classes, as well as enjoy cultural tours and visits on the
weekends.
FCBarcelona “More than a club”
Founded in 1899, FC Barcelona is one of the most
recognized and legendary teams in world soccer and is
truly “more than a club.” FC Barcelona is one of the
most decorated in terms of honors and accolades, enjoys
worldwide support, and is committed to the highest
standards on the field of play, as well as being a
pioneer in off-the-pitch initiatives. FC Barcelona is
important for what it represents to the city of
Barcelona and the people of Catalonia, who truly treat
the club as their national team. FC Barcelona has an
unrivaled reputation for the successful training and
production of world-class players.
Train the Barça Way
Train as champions train. Whether you are looking
to earn a college scholarship, make your state program,
earn a place on your club team, or simply ensure your
spot on your varsity team, the FC Barcelona elite soccer
program in partnership with ASA will help you reach your
full potential and achieve your goals. Training is led
by official coaches from FC Barcelona Soccer School and
consists of 2 sessions per day, 5 days per week.
Coaching will be in Spanish and some English.
Hosted at FC Barcelona’s state-of-the-art training
facilities, players will have access to various on-site
artificial pitches next to the legendary Camp Nou
Stadium. The intense program of complete soccer training
prepares young players from all over the world for the
high demands of competitive club or high school soccer.
Specialized training and individual attention with one
coach for every 10 players maximizes the progression of
each player during the 2-week program. Coaches work
closely on all aspects of your game: technical,
tactical, physical, and psychological.
Spanish Language Classes
A unique feature of the program is the daily Spanish
language classes (1 - 1:30 hour Monday thru Friday) taught by expert
instructors from the prestigious Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB).
Students will be divided into 2 or 3 levels, depending on ability. This
is a great way to improve your Spanish and get the most from this
exciting opportunity.

play regular soccer to a
good standard and is an
intensive course. This
Soccer Camp is only for players with strong soccer skills. Recreational

The
city of Barcelona and beyond
Barcelona’s history enriches its vibrant modern
cultural life and reputation for being cosmopolitan and
cutting edge. The city lays claim to many important
museums and galleries, whose Modernist architecture
championed by Antoni Gaudí contrasts with the
ultra-modern Olympic port and pristine beaches of the
stunning Mediterranean coast. From the narrow streets of
the Gothic Quarter to the modern shops and cafes of
Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona possesses a unique energy
and style that make it one of the top destinations in
all of Europe.
Saturday and Sunday will be assigned for
regeneration, recovery time, and cultural excursions in
Barcelona and beyond. Participants enjoy 2 full-day
excursions, Port Aventura Theme Park and Sitges, and
enjoy visits to Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Sagrada Familia
Cathedral, Picasso and Miró Museums, beaches, as well as
a guided tour of the gothic quarter (subject to change).
ASA in Barcelona is an exciting opportunity to live, study and
explore in one of Europe's most magical cities and by the time you leave
you will know the city inside and out. Barcelona enjoys a reputation for
being cutting edge and cosmopolitan and boasts some of the finest
museums in Europe as well as the ultra modern Olympic port and beaches.
You are given the responsibility and independence to balance training,
classes, activities, and free time to make sure you get the most out of
your experience. You can choose to join an ASA supervised activity or
trip, or use free time for relaxation. You are also free to sign out to
explore the city in small groups without supervision. ASA staff are
always available to accompany student groups and help ensure access so
that you see and do as much as possible.
Weekend and evenings are designed to make sure you make the most of
your time in Barcelona and you'll quickly become an expert on how to get
around and enjoy this incredible environment where the possibilities are
almost endless. The learning experience extends beyond the field and the
classroom and you will find your inspiration as much from discovering
your favorite spot for tapas as marveling at works in the Picasso
museum. There is also plenty of down time for you to practice your
Spanish, enjoy the city and soak up the local flavor at a café or hang
out at the dormitory with friends
